Competitor Makes 13th Trip to the Olympics
We are proud to announce that our racing lanes will be used in the 2016 Sumer Olympics in Ri de Janeiro, as well as preceding U.S. Olympic Trials. This is the 13th time that Competitor will be used at the world’s premier sporting event.
“It is an honor to continue serving the sport on such an important global stage,” said Brad Underwood, Competitor president.
Since 1960, Competitor’s lane lines have set the racing stage in competitions local and global. Through product innovation and an unyielding dedication to serve the unique complexities of each pool, Competitor has earned a reputation for superior quality and customer service. Competitor has been present at 9 of the last 12 Olympics, beginning with Mexico City Games in 1968.
The U.S. Olympic Trials kick off in Omaha, Nebraska on June 26, and the 2016 Olympic Games begin August 5 in Rio de Janeiro. Malmsten, based in Sweden, will provide the Competitor lane lines for the Summer Olympics Games.
Competitor also has partnerships with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and USA Swimming.
